Hosting
Many design firms offer hosting to their clients. RDW does not...
As a rule most design firms do not actually "Host" your site, they are only resellers. Over the years RDW has worked with some great hosting companies, and with some very bad ones. We will help you get set up with a hosting company for your site that will offer you the best support for your needs.
While we will work with your hosting company if a problem arises with your site, and to maintain and upload your files, all fees will remain between you and the hosting company.
Domain Names
Your domain name belongs to you and you alone. We do not believe in charging a client for purchasing your domain name on their behalf. We will walk you through the process of getting a domain name. We will require access to your domain account to manage a few of the functions required to point your name to the right servers.
If you already have a domain name we will work with your to get it pointed in the right direction. In some cases you may need to request your domain name information from the design firm you used to purchase it on your behalf. We can make this request for you if necessary. |
